Abstract

Adolescence is a critical stage in the search for and formation of self-identity. During this stage, adolescents begin to ask themselves who they are, what matters to them, and how they want to live their lives. In the digital era, adolescents face various pressures from social media, peers, and their surrounding environment, which can make this process even more challenging. Without proper guidance, this condition may lead to identity confusion and affect their mental health. Meanwhile, education still largely focuses on academic achievement, while adolescents' spiritual development seems to not always receive sufficient attention. This study aims to examine the role of spiritual education in helping adolescents cope with identity crisis. The writing was conducted by reviewing various books and journal articles related to identity crisis, adolescent development, and spiritual education. These sources were then compared and connected to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the topic discussed. The findings show that identity crisis in adolescents can be influenced by various factors, such as changes during puberty, peer relationships, family, and the social environment. This condition can be seen in the form of self-confusion, emotional instability, and difficulty in making decisions. Spiritual education can help adolescents through experience-based learning, open discussions, and guidance that supports rather than imposes decisions. In this way, adolescents are given the opportunity to ask questions, express their doubts, understand their beliefs, and get to know themselves better.
